The design of Villa Scirocco proposes an innovative arrangement of the building volume, centralizing it within the lot and spacing it from the boundaries. This choice makes it possible to create an annex in harmony with the nearby Villa Lavender, strengthening the architectural link between the two buildings.
A Functional and Sustainable Design
Scirocco is developed on a single floor, with an optimized distribution of spaces. The entrance is located in the center of the main window, providing direct access without the need for a dedicated area, an ideal solution to enhance the available square footage.
The design includes a hypogeal architecture, partially underground, to reduce visual impact and promote a natural integration with the landscape. Viewed from the south, the cottage appears barely perceptible, while from other points it is virtually invisible. This approach not only preserves the aesthetics of the area, but also improves the building’s energy efficiency.
Optimized Interior Spaces
Despite their small size, the rooms are designed to ensure comfort and functionality:
Each space is designed to maximize habitability, creating a perfect balance between aesthetics and practicality.
Outdoor Areas and Landscaping
The outdoor areas will be landscaped by laying turf and planting olive trees, ensuring harmonious integration with the surrounding environment. The pedestrian paths will be made with “ciappe” of Luserna, a traditional Ligurian stone, laid directly on the lawn for an authentic effect.
To preserve the natural setting, the remaining areas will be kept unaltered. Hedges of aromatic and native essences will be inserted to mitigate the visual impact and enhance the landscape.
The Scirocco project represents a perfect balance between innovation and tradition, offering a sustainable housing solution that is perfectly integrated into the Mediterranean context.
