Panoramic agritourism in Diano Gorleri

The project involves the construction of a new agritourism business in Via San Leonardo, southwest of the village of Diano Gorleri, in the Municipality of Diano Marina. The area involved covers about 8,100 m² on terraced strips with panoramic views of the Dianese Gulf. The land is part of a wine farm and is easily accessible from both Strada Savoia and Via San Leonardo, with driveway and pedestrian access.

Landscape

The lot, classified as a TPA zone by the Municipal Urban Plan, is characterized by an internal driveway, stone or reinforced concrete retaining walls, and a central pedestrian path crossing the land. Within it are three buildings:

.

Building A – Dwelling

The building provides a single-story dwelling unit with a terrace accessible by an external staircase and a storage room in the attic.

Building B – Agricultural warehouse

A storage building, serving the farm, with a mixed load-bearing structure (masonry and reinforced concrete) and a gross area of 133 m². Internally it consists of a single room with a wooden truss roof and Marseille tiles.

The openings will be wooden with white frames and green Genoese-style shutters. Materials chosen for the interiors include terracotta, Genoese-style grit, wood, and ceramics for bathrooms and kitchenettes.

Building C – Recovery and Enhancement

The intervention on this building is oriented to the recovery of the original features. It consists of two floors on the east side and one on the west side. Some parts of the structure show infiltration and will be subject to conservation intervention. The vertical structures are made of stone and brick, complemented by newer reinforced concrete elements.

Pool and relaxation area

One of the distinctive elements of the project is the creation of a panoramic swimming pool divided into three zones: a swimming pool (depth 2.20 m), a relaxation area (1.50 m) and a whirlpool (1.00 m).

The intervention affects the terraced top of the land, with a wide panoramic view. The area will be redeveloped with the creation of a garden of Mediterranean essences and the arrangement of the existing irrigation basin. The latter will be partially enclosed with an attic and stone walls for safety reasons, without being completely buried.

Materials chosen for the redevelopment include local stone, terracotta and wood, respecting the building tradition of the area.

The project combines the agricultural identity of the place with tourist hospitality, with the aim of offering an authentic experience, immersed in nature and the Ligurian landscape.
