A rebirth project: three villas surrounded by Mediterranean nature
The project for the construction of three villas was born as an extraordinary opportunity for urban and landscape regeneration: an intervention aimed at restoring life, beauty and value to a long abandoned lot.
Through careful and environmentally friendly planning, the intervention aims to transform a neglected area into a small residential oasis, where architecture, nature and quality of living coexist in harmony. The villas will be designed with a contemporary architectural language that dialogues with local tradition: clean volumes, bright facades, natural materials and details that recall the Mediterranean style.
Large openings, panoramic terraces and outdoor spaces will allow for maximum use of natural light and enjoyment of the surrounding landscape.
A central role will be given to the landscape: the land, now uncultivated, will be regenerated through the inclusion of gardens, interior courtyards and green spaces designed to foster a relationship with nature. Native vegetation will be enhanced and reintegrated, with special attention to the recovery of existing olive trees, which will help define the identity of the place.
The project integrates solutions geared toward environmental sustainability: solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and low-impact construction techniques will help reduce energy consumption and improve living comfort.
Inserted in a scattered building context, the three villas will dialogue with the landscape and the existing urban fabric, respecting the morphological and cultural characteristics of the area.
This intervention represents not only a building rehabilitation, but a broader vision of rebirth: a place coming back to life, able to welcome new families in a sustainable, serene environment deeply rooted in the Mediterranean context.
Villa 2 SOLE – Two units immersed in Mediterranean nature
Villa 2 occupies the central part of the plot and consists of two independent units. Access is via a private driveway made of draining material at a lower elevation than the main road, from which two exterior staircases parallel to the fascia wall, made of natural stone, depart.
The massing follows a simple, linear layout, with earth-colored flat roofing and overhangs forming shading porches. White facades, punctuated by large windows, open the interior spaces to the surrounding landscape, while horizontal anthracite shutters add a contemporary touch.
The landscaping design accompanies the building in every element: the layout of the units follows the natural progression of the terraces, avoiding invasive earthworks and respecting the configuration of the original landscape. Local split stone walls and new vegetation – in continuity with the pre-existing essences, including olive trees – help integrate the villa into the environment in a harmonious and sustainable way.
The parapet hedges and the choice of natural materials allow to limit the visual impact, promoting a balanced and respectful perception of the place.
