Redevelopment of Portici

The intervention involves the comprehensive renovation of the historic center of Imperia Oneglia, affecting Via Bonfante, Piazza Dante (excluding the sea side of the old city hall) and the initial section of Via Repubblica. These streets represent the main road axis through the heart of the city, connecting the center of Oneglia to Porto Maurizio.

Objectives of the Project

The project was created with a twofold purpose:

• To enhance the historical and architectural heritagethrough the restoration of arcades and pavements, preserving the identity of the city.
• Powering commercial and tourist attractivenessby creating a more welcoming environment for citizens, visitors and businesses.

Planned Interventions

🔹 Restoration of the Arcades

• Complete plaster renovation to ensure a lasting result.
• Treatment of masonry with high-quality materials to prevent seepage and moisture.
• Cleaning and restoration of travertine slabs, replacing 20% of deteriorated slabs.
• air-level=”1″>Installation of travertine backsplash20 cm along the walls of the stores.

🔹 New Flooring

• Demolition of the existing pavement and installation of grit slabswith three different color shades, in harmony with the urban context.

🔹 Redevelopment of Facilities

• Redevelopment of cables and under-track technological installations for a cleaner visual impact.
• Complete replacement of lighting systemto improve safety and aesthetics.

This intervention will help strengthen the city’s historic and commercial identity, providing a more modern, welcoming and functional urban space.
